Port Gibson theater play begins Thursday

The Blue Barn Theater will present “Honk Jr.,” a children’s production featuring students from A.W. Watson Elementary School, Port Gibson Middle School, Claiborne Education Foundation, Chamberlain-Hunt Academy and children who are homeschooled.

The play will be directed by Sarah Wells and Bernardo Scarambone, with choral direction by Beth Cade and piano music by Desiree Scarambone.

The play will be Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. at the theater, 1001 E.P. Spencer Drive, in Port Gibson. Tickets will be $10 for adults and $5 for children. Money collected will be used for production and utilities to the building. For information, call 601-437-9054.

No applications filed with architecture board

The City of Vicksburg’s Board of Architectural Review did not meet Tuesday because no applications needing the board’s attention were filed, secretary Paula Wright said.

The next meeting is scheduled for May 13 at 4 p.m. at City Hall Annex.
