A Warren County woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with possessing a controlled substance, jail records indicated.

Makita L. Turner, 20, 2543 Mount Alban Road, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. at the Warren County Sheriff’s Department. Two hours later, she posted a $2,000 bond and was released from the Warren County Jail.

No further details were available.

Lawn mower, cell phone among missing itemsA riding lawn mower was reported stolen from a Warren County home and a motel room in the city was burglarized Wednesday afternoon.

At 3:22, the Warren County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a $3,000 John Deere mower missing from a home in the 100 block of Stockton Road.

About 2 1/2 hours later, $900, an LG cell phone, a PlayStation, and a DVD, total value $335, were reported stolen from a room at the Dixiana Motel, 4041 Washington St. The Vicksburg Police Department received the report at 5:53.
