In Warren County Circuit Court during the week that ended Friday:
Derek Bannon, 23, 40-C King Drive, had his suspended sentence revoked after he was found by the court to have violated his probation. Bannon’s suspended sentence stemmed from a May 2006 conviction of cocaine possession. Judge Frank Vollor sentenced Bannon to six years in prison.Arthur Windell Holloman, 40, 368 Broadview St., Jackson, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. Vollor handed Holloman a three-year suspended sentence and further ordered that Holloman be placed on probation for three years. Vollor also ordered Holloman to pay $3,612.50 in fines, court costs and assessments. Holloman was arrested for the drug offense May 4, 2007, at County Lane and U.S. 61 North.Judge Isadore Patrick sentenced Latoya S. Williams, 25, 3150 Peterson Drive, Jackson, to three years in prison for a probation violation, which stemmed from the non-adjudicated sentence Williams received in April 2007 for two counts of felony bad check.
In Sharkey County Circuit Court, two Rolling Fork men pleaded guilty to sale of marijuana.
Vollor handed three-year suspended sentences to Lazerick Jermaine Dunson, 23, 77 Worthington Road, and Kenneth Miles, 31, 87 Mulberry St., and further ordered that they be placed on probation for three years. Dunson was also ordered to pay $812.50 in fines, court costs and assessments, while Miles was ordered to pay $1,979. Dunson’s offense took place Nov. 27, 2007, at his home and Miles’ conviction stems from a Sept. 22, 2007, offense in the 300 block of Mulberry Street.
