Henry Lee Bell
Henry Lee Bell departed this life on May 23, 2008. He was a native of Natchez. As a young man, he moved to Vicksburg. He was 93 years of age.
He was a member of Triumph M.B. Church, Stringer Lodge No. 1 and was a 33rd degree Mason. He was retired from Anderson Tully Company and Vicksburg Warren School District.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Fox Bell; a son, Henry Lee Bell, Jr.; his parents, Harrison Bell and Julia Bell Parker; and two brothers, Jerry Gaines and Bill Parker.
He is survived by four daughters, Julia Bell Curry and Daisy L. Bell of Chicago, Helen Bowman and her husband, William, and Mary Kenney and her husband, James, all of Vicksburg; one grandson, Kelvin L. Bell, and one great-granddaughter, Kaylor M. Bell, both of Vicksburg; a cousin, Ruby Henderson of Downey, Calif.; and the Warner and Johnson families of Baton Rouge.
Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Abe Floyd Jr.
RIVERDALE, Ga. — Abe Floyd Jr. died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Ga. He was 59.
Mr. Floyd was of the Baptist faith. He was a former employee of Vicksburg Chemical, where he worked for a number of years as a chemical operator. He was a 1968 graduate of Addison High School in Port Gibson. He also attended Alcorn State University.
He was preceded in death by his father, Abe Floyd Sr.; his son, Michael Toran “Pete” Floyd; two sisters, Eva Neil Morrow and DanEthel Floyd; and a brother, Robert Earl Floyd.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Floyd of Vicksburg; three sons, Darryl Floyd of Vicksburg, Abe Floyd III of Jonesboro, Ga., and Tommie Jackson Jr. of Memphis; a daughter, Doris Fisher of Vicksburg; his mother, Mary Steed Floyd of Vicksburg; three sisters, Annie Brown of Vicksburg and Clara Myles and Thelma Roach, both of Milwaukee; and other relatives and friends, including Terrell Loving of Vicksburg.
Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home in Vicksburg has charge of arrangements.
Frank Mozingo
Frank Mozingo died Monday, May 19, 2008, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 67.
Mr. Mozingo was an air conditioning and heating technician and a member of Puckett Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Esther Mozingo; a brother, Charlie Mozingo; and a sister, Lillie Mae Shelton.
Survivors include his three sons, Johnny Mozingo of Houston, Texas, Darren Mozingo of Coleman, Fla., and Mike Martin of Mesquite, Texas; two daughters, Cynthia Rust of Royce City, Texas, and Christine Johnson of Quinlan, Texas; two brothers, James Mozingo of Raleigh, Miss., and Marshall Mozingo of Pearl; two sisters, Minnie Mae Craft of D’Lo and Mary Mears of Fort Worth.
A graveside service was Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the Mozingo Family Cemetery in Raleigh.
