Molly Mae Haynes BrownMemorial services for Molly Mae Haynes Brown will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Norman Haynes officiating.
Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at her home. She was 63.
Born in Texas, Mrs. Brown was of the Catholic faith. She was a house parent at the Methodist Children’s Home in Jackson.
She was a 1964 graduate of Lincoln High School in Texas and received an associate degree from Hinds Junior College in Raymond.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Wesley Brown; two sisters, Johnnie Mae Craft-Weaver and Celestine Kinney; her mother, Tellen Kizzie; and her father.
She is survived by one daughter, Robyne D. Brown of Vicksburg; two brothers, the Rev. Norman Haynes of Texas City, Texas, and George Ray Kinney of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one sister, Oversia Faye Gilbert of Texas City; and other relatives, including Mary Catherine Brown of Clinton.
Billy Ray HacklerBilly Ray Hackler died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. He was 79.
Mr. Hackler was retired from Vicksburg Chemical Co., was a retired cattleman and timber manager. He graduated from Redwood High School as valedictorian in 1947. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1957 during the Korean conflict, where he received an honorable discharge. He then served in the Naval Reserves. He was a member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars and Bradley Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ruby Ross Hackler; and his parents, David Elbert and Roynelle Hinston Hackler.
Survivors include his daughter, Lori H. Simrall of Vicksburg; a sister, Pauline H. McBee of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, Kristen Danielle Pecanty, Mandi Pecanty and Kris Pecanty.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Chapel with the Rev. Henry Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service at Glenwood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Richard Bounds, Ray Mathis, Charles Hinston, Tom Lee, Otto Logue, Charles Thomas, Dr. Paul Pierce III and Jimmy Keen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Junior Tew, Don S. Miller Jr. and J.W. Redditt.
