Vicksburg women won’t have to leave town to hear a best-selling Christian author speak at a women’s event in Louisville.

Through a partnership among LifeWay Women’s Events, Church Communication Network and Bowmar Baptist Church, a simulcast of Beth Moore’s Aug. 1 and Aug. 2 speeches at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville will be shown live at Bowmar via satellite.

“We are excited to partner with LifeWay to bring this event to our local community,” said Debra Martin, director of the women’s ministry at Bowmar. “Women are hunting, and we want them to experience the healing touch of the God who loves them.”

Martin said they are looking to fill some of the 600 seats for each of the events.

The simulcast is part of the Living Proof Live event in Louisville.

An estimated 9,000 will participate, and the simulcast will, potentially, allow nearly 10 times as many women across the United States to experience the event. Bowmar is one of about 600 churches across the United States that will participate in the simulcast.

Moore is the founder of Living Proof Ministries, a Bible-based organization for women.

She started the Houston, Texas-based organization in 1994. Its primary focus is aiding women who desire to model their lives on evangelical Christian principles.
