Mildred Annette Sharp Conrad
BOSSIER CITY, La. – Mildred Annette Sharp Conrad died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, in Bossier City, La. She was 78.
Mrs. Conrad was born in Maghee, Ark. She was reared in Vicksburg and moved to Louisiana in 1961. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bossier City. She retired after more than 30 years as an executive administrator from Roberts Cherry Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, George Conrad; and her parents, Edgar and Pauline Sharp.
Mrs. Conrad is survived by two daughters, Judy Doty and Jayne Conrad; two sisters, Dixie Breithaupt and Barbara Edwards; a brother, Donald Sharp; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home chapel in Haughton, La., with the Rev. Buddy Puryear officiating. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be T.J. Doty, Tim Doty, Kevin Taylor, Brandon Tarantino, Charles Guin and Marty Calhoun.
Honorary pallbearer will be Maj. Patrick Small.
Memorials may be made to Airline Baptist Church or First United Methodist Church of Bossier City.
Jack Donaldson Ellerbee
TALLULAH – Jack Donaldson Ellerbee died Monday, July 14, 2008, at his home in Tallulah. He was 27.
Mr. Ellerbee was born in Vicksburg and had lived in Tallulah most of his life. He received a bachelor’s degree in business from Southeastern Louisiana University.
He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Tallulah.
Survivors include his wife, Natalie Whitehead Ellerbee of Zachary, La.; his mother, Leslye Donaldson Ellerbee of Tallulah; two brothers, Darryl J. Ellerbee Jr. of Tallulah and John Henry Ellerbee of Baton Rouge; one sister, Elizabeth Ellerbee Sullivan of Tallulah; and four nephews and two nieces.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Edward Catholic Church with the Rev. Ferre D’Cruz officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah. Visitation will be at the church, from 10 a.m. until the service Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Craft, Trey Tucker, James Grady, Jeremy Purvis, James Wells, Adam Trichell, Jason Noland and Michael Cummins.
Memorials may be made to Tallulah Academy.
Eugene Fuller Jr.
Eugene “Go-Be” Fuller Jr. died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at his home. He was 78.
Mr. Fuller was born in Warren County. He was a member of King David M.B. Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired from the mat-sinking unit of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Fuller and Margaret Griffin; a brother Isiah Fuller; two sisters, Florine Fuller Conway and Willena Buck; and Walter Doss.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Doss Fuller of Vicksburg; three sons, Ronnie Lee Fuller of Yaleto, Calif., John Lee Fuller and Arthur Fuller, both of Vicksburg; four daughters, Theresa F. Harris of Milwaukee, Carol Sue Fuller of Houston, Bessie Green Fuller of Orange, Texas, and Patricia A. Doss Fuller of Vicksburg; a stepmother, Elnora Fuller of Chicago; two stepsons, Wilbert Doss of Vicksburg and Tommy Doss of Memphis; a stepdaughter, Shelda Doss Thomas of Vicksburg; a brother, Jack Fuller of Las Vegas; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
James A. Martin
James A. Martin died Monday, July 14, 2008, at the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson. He was 61.
Mr. Martin graduated from St. Aloysius High School and Mississippi College before joining the military. He had retired from the Vicksburg Warren School District where he was a computer technician.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris M. Martin; maternal grandparents, Harry and Nettie Martin; paternal grandmother, Mary Paxton; and aunts and uncles.
Survivors include two aunts, Dolly Martin Moses and Sherrill Willis, both of Vicksburg; cousins; and his friend and caregiver, Steve Sarbonna.
His body was donated to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
