ACHIEVEMENTS
Angie Cole and Rosie Davis, both of Vicksburg, received the perfect attendance and high honors awards on Student Appreciation Day at Antonelli College. Cole is a medical coding major, and Davis is majoring in medical assisting.
Hardy Farris IV has been named the 2007-2008 Interfraternity Council Outstanding New Member by the Order of Omega at the University of Mississippi. He is a member of Sigma Nu fraternity, where he was elected pledge class president and was named Honor Pledge. He serves as chapter recorder. Additionally, he is a member of the Student Alumni Council, Freshman Leadership Council, Chancellor’s Leadership Class, Alpha Lambda Delta and Campus Crusade for Christ. The son of Trip and Kim Farris of Vicksburg, he was named to the chancellor’s list.
Caroline Kemp, Vicksburg Catholic School student, has been selected for membership into the National Society of High School Scholars. The society recognizes top scholars and invites only those students who have achieved superior academic excellence. She is the daughter of William and Diane Kemp.
DEGREES
Tracey Lassiter Levy graduated with highest honors during spring commencement at DePaul University in Chicago, where she received a master of science degree in computer science and telecommunications engineering with a concentration in software engineering. She received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering in 2001 with an emphasis in computer architecture and computer communications from Southern University in Baton Rouge. She is an IT architectural consultant with IBM and is vice president and co-founder of DME Consulting in Chicago. Levy is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Alfred E. Lassiter Sr. of Vicksburg. She and her husband, Matthew, live in Olympia Fields, Ill., and have one daughter.
IN ATTENDANCE
Claire Nicola Reid was selected to participate in the 2008 session of Mississippi Governor’s School, a residential honors program designed to provide leadership experiences for rising high school juniors and seniors who have demonstrated exceptional ability and achievement in their studies. The daughter of Bruce and Lisa Reid of Vicksburg, she is a student at St. Aloysius High School, where she received a 4.0 academic award and the University of Rochester Kodak Young Leaders Award. She will serve as president of her senior class.
