VALLEY PARK – Inez Puckett Cooper died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at her home in Valley Park. She was 82.

Born in Learned, Mrs. Cooper had been a Valley Park resident since 1949. She was a retired employee of South Central Bell. She was a member of Valley Park Baptist Church, serving as church clerk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. “Dean” Cooper; a brother, M.A. Puckett Jr.; and three sisters, Ruby Puckett, Alma Flowers and Ailene Tompkins.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruby Jane Cooper of Valley Park.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home of Vicksburg with the Rev. Ken Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 1 p.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Jack Cooper, Johnny Tompkins, Charles Kerr, C.P. Clay, Billy Hodnett, Charlie Jones, Leonard Miller and Ted Porter.

Eugene Fuller Jr.

Services for Eugene “Go-Be” Fuller Jr. were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at King David M.B. Church No. 1 with the Rev. A.L. Hines officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Fuller died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at his home. He was 78.

Mr. Fuller was born in Warren County. He was a member of King David M.B. Church No. 1 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was retired from the mat-sinking unit of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Fuller Sr. and Margaret Griffin; a brother, Isiah Fuller; two sisters, Florine Fuller Conway and Willena Buck; and three sons, Carl Lee Fuller, Jimmie Lee Fuller and Walter Doss.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Doss Fuller of Vicksburg; three sons, Ronnie Lee Fuller of Vallejo, Calif., and John Lee Fuller and Arthur Fuller, both of Vicksburg; four daughters, Theresa F. Harris of Milwaukee, Karen Sue Fuller of Houston, Rosalie Fuller-Green of Orange, Texas, and Patricia A. Doss Fuller of Vicksburg; a stepmother, Elnora Fuller of Chicago; two stepsons, Wilbert Doss of Vicksburg and Tommy Doss of Memphis; a stepdaughter, Shelda Doss-Thomas of Vicksburg; a brother, Jack Fuller of Las Vegas; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, cousins and other relatives.
