Janice Marie Robinson Edwards
Janice Marie Robinson Edwards died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 50.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her father, Columbus Palmer; and her maternal grandmother, Lelia A. Robinson.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Edwards; a daughter, Wanda Latoya Groves of Vicksburg; two sons, Justin Earl Robinson of Ocean Springs and William Shelby of Vicksburg; her mother, Gloria Jean Rankin of Vicksburg; her stepfathers, Jessie Cooper and Willie Rankin, both of Vicksburg; nine sisters, Debra Robinson Goodman, Jacqueline Cooper, Andrea Royal, Dawn Royal, Kenya Cooper and Catrina Cooper, all of Vicksburg, and Sharon Young, Gloria Cooper and Robin Royal, all of Jackson; three brothers, Gerald Royal and Cedric Cooper, both of Vicksburg, and Robert Royal of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Monica Anne Koehler
UTICA – Monica Anne Koehler died Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at her home in Utica. She was 23.
A native of Illinois, Mrs. Koehler was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Turner of Utica; two sons, Justin Wayne Turner and Brian Michael Turner, both of Utica; one daughter, Haylee Nykole Turner of Utica; her father and stepmother, Brian Koehler and Teresa Councell of Vicksburg; her mother, Sherrie Norman of Reno, Nev.; one brother, Richard Norman of Texas; a stepbrother, Christopher Jaydon Councell of Vicksburg; a stepsister, Christine Councell of Vicksburg; her paternal grandmother, Margaret Georgantas of Austin, Texas; and her in-laws, Jeanie L. and William Wayne Turner.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home of Vicksburg with the Rev. Brian Ivey officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the service.
Willie Myers
Willie Myers died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 54.
Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Myers and Ella Mae Myers; two sisters, Helen Lee Smith and Johnnie Lee Mitchell; and three brothers, Joe Lewis, Robert Smith and J.D. Myers.
Survivors include two brothers, Herman Myers of Vicksburg and Matthew Myers of Mansfield, Texas; two sisters, Ella Mae Scott of Saginaw, Mich., and Ida Mae Myers of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Billy Stribling Sr.
RIDGELAND – Billy Stribling Sr. died Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. He was 74.
Born in Dixon, Miss., Mr. Stribling lived in Vicksburg for a number of years. He was a graduate of Carr Central High School and attended the University of Mississippi. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired, self-employed modular-building contractor.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Stribling Jr. of Vicksburg and Lee Stribling of New Orleans; two daughters, Helen S. Adcock of Vicksburg and Tina Stribling of Waveland; and five grandchildren.
Private services will be held with the Rev. Mark Rowlen officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
