Dr. Daniel Mark Habeeb and Dr. Amanda Elaine Daho were married at 5 p.m. May 25, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale. The Revs. Kent Bowlds, Robert Stanium and John Vollor officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Daho of Clarksdale.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Habeeb of Vicksburg.

The altar area featured candelabrums and oblong arrangements of orchids, gladioli and roses. Candelabrums wrapped in greenery marked the aisle along the pews. The church’s entrance doors held the initials A and D created from flowers.

Mothers were seated to “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” and “Ave Maria.” The processional was “Canon in D,” followed by “Trumpet Voluntary” for the bride’s entrance. Solos included “My Tribute” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” The recessional was “Horn Pipe” from “Water Music.”

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer, strapless gown created in an A-line style featuring a crystal bodice and crystal accents along the train.

She carried a handsewn bouquet of white phalaenopsis orchids arranged in a cascade design.

Matrons of honor were Dr. Réne Diamond of Fayetteville, Ark., and Ola Daho of Germantown, Tenn. Bridesmaids were Sandra Strain of Madison, Dr. Jean Kfoury of Ridgeland and Anne Habeeb of Clinton. Junior bridesmaid was Elizabeth Rustom of Greenwood.

The attendants wore strapless, A-line, designer gowns of eggplant-colored satin trimmed in crystal beading. They each carried bouquets featuring green roses and purple statice.

Flower girls were Elizabeth Basha and Sarah Basha, both of Clarksdale. They each wore white, A-line dresses with pearled flowers at the waist.

Dr. George Habeeb of Hattiesburg, Albert Habeeb of Vicksburg and Samuel Habeeb of Clinton served as best men. Groomsmen were John Daho of Germantown and Dr. Joseph Daho of Baton Rouge. Junior groomsman was Ellis Rustom of Greenwood.

Usher was David Ruston of Germantown.

Ring bearers were Luke Habeeb of Clinton and Michael Basha of Clarksdale.

A seated-dinner reception followed at the Clarksdale Expo Center. Syrian-Lebanese hors d’oeuvre were served.

Dinner tables were arranged with alternating gold spiral candelabrums with greenery and twisted rods trimmed in green and purple bells of Ireland, green roses and gladioli, green and purple dendrobium orchids and purple liatrice and statice.

The bride’s buttercream-and-hazelnut ganache cake was trimmed in gold damask accents and topped with a Faberge egg.

The groom’s cake, a chocolate-praline ganache confection, was topped with a doctor’s bag.

Ice sculptures were created in various designs, including a camel, a Mac Winkler vase and a martini luge.

Guests were entertained with Syrian-Lebanese selections by the band Sahar.

For a wedding trip, the couple toured France.

They will make their home in Hattiesburg, where both are employed at the Hattiesburg Clinic. The bride is a hospitalist, and the groom is a nephrologist.
