Fayette woman surrenders in prescription forgery|CRIME

A Fayette woman wanted by the Vicksburg police on three counts of forged prescriptions surrendered at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, said Vicksburg police crime analyst Suzan Ebeling.

Bond for Dorran Stringer, 25, 261 River Road, was set at $2,500, and she remained in jail this morning.

Medicine, electronics missing in Vicksburg

Electronic equipment and medicine were among the items reported missing in Vicksburg Thursday, Vicksburg police crime analyst Suzan Ebeling said:

A Pioneer AM/FM CD player was reported stolen at 8:54 a.m. out of a 1994 Chrysler New Yorker in the 1200 block of Openwood Drive.

A 19-inch television, value unknown, two DVD players valued at $400, $70 in loose change and prescription medications were reported stolen at 2:13 p.m. in the 1200 block of Second North Street.

In Warren County, a Nordyne 3.5-ton air conditioner valued at $2,500 was reported stripped of its copper wiring Thursday at 9:35 a.m. in the 600 block of Elton Drive.

City man arrested for sale of cocaine

A Vicksburg man was arrested Thursday at 6 p.m. at his home on Harris Street on charges of sale of cocaine, Vicksburg police crime analyst Suzan Ebeling said.

Larry Turner, 47, 820 Harris St., had bond set at $20,000 and remained in jail this morning.
