Thomas, Brumitt are married July 26

Daniel Alan Thomas and Becky Lynn Brumitt were married at 7 p.m. July 26, 2008, at their home on Smith Drive. Ernie Hall officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of David and Reba Welch of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Patsy Ward of Oklahoma and the late Walter and Alberta Welch of Vermont.
The groom is the son of Kenneth and Carolyn Moore of Vicksburg and Dana and Terry Thomas of Stonewall, La. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Orr of Texas and Gloria Orr, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stegal and the late James Thomas, all of Louisiana.
The bride arrived at the ceremony with her junior bride in a horsedrawn carriage driven by John Morson.
She was given in marriage by her son, Tyler Brumitt. She made and carried a bouquet of red and blue roses.
Maid of honor was Amber Wright, daughter of the bride, of Vicksburg. Matron of honor was Frances Kilgore of Plain Dealing, La. Bridesmaids were Tammie Stewart and Lisa Kerr, both of Vicksburg.
Flower girl was Taylor Briggs of Vicksburg.
John Orr of Monroe served as best man. Groomsmen were Ron Kinard, Bobby Stewart and Keith Kerr, all of Vicksburg.
Usher was Jacob Stewart, nephew of the bride, of Vicksburg.
Ring bearer was Daniel K. Thomas, son of the bride and groom, of Vicksburg.
A reception followed the ceremony.
The couple will make their home in Vicksburg. The groom is employed at the Vicksburg Police Department.
Out-of-state guests were from Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas.
