A Vicksburg man was arrested Saturday night after another man’s throat was cut at a home on Glass Road, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.

The victim, Teddy Lynn Launius, 29, 185 Hackberry Drive, was taken to River Region Medical Center by a friend at about 10:20 p.m., said Pace, and deputies were then notified.

Shannon Michael Doine, 31, 2300 Glass Road Lot 9, was in the Warren County Jail Sunday afternoon without bond on an aggravated assault charge, Pace said.

Doine’s address was given as Lot 24 of the same trailer park.

“Deputies arrested the suspect at the scene and recovered the knife,” said Pace. “The investigator who responded to the hospital said the victim’s wounds looked horrific.”

River Region spokesman Allen Karel said he could not get a condition report on Launius Sunday afternoon.
