Billy Bryant “Slim” Puckett Jr. died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, in Jefferson County. He was 51.

A Vicksburg resident, Mr. Puckett was a log-truck driver for McCool Logging.

He is survived by two daughters, Marlie Tuura of Terry and Summer Mallory of Florence; his mother, Mary Hanes of Vicksburg; his father, Billy Puckett Sr. of Clinton; two sisters, Peggy Esquivel of Dallas, Texas, and Odette Roberts of Vicksburg; and one brother, David Roberts of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Utica. Burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the church.
