PATTISON — Matthew Booker died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Claiborne County Hospital. He was 68.

Mr. Booker is survived by his wife, Cathy Hedrick of Pattison; two sons, Matthew Hedrick and Marvin Hedrick, both of Pattison; one daughter, Joyce Hedrick of Pattison; three sisters, Joanna Jones of Hazlehurst, Willie Mae Woods of Chicago and Josephine Moore of Pattison; one brother, B.C. Collins Jr. of Pattison; and nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives, including Fannie Mae Kelly of Fayette.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Pattison with the Rev. Troy Smith officiating. Burial will be at Hawkins Cemetery in Copiah County. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
