Tullos to wed Maj. Rogers

The engagement of Rachel Elizabeth Tullos to Maj. Matthew Byrne Rogers, both of West Point, N.Y., is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 4, 2008, at Cedar Grove Mansion and Inn. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club.
Miss Tullos is the daughter of Tony L. Tullos and Mary L. McNair, both of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late O.W. Tullos and the late Avanelle Tullos of Greenwood and the late Henry J. and Louise W. LeClair of Augusta, Ga.
Mr. Rogers is the son of John and Cathy Rogers of Anthem, Ariz., and Phillip Murphy of San Jose, Calif. He is the grandson of Patricia Byrne and the late Robert Byrne of Phoenix, Ariz., and the late John and Genevieve Murphy of San Jose.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Vicksburg High School.
She completed pre-pharmacy requirements at the University of Mississippi and Arizona State University and is pursuing a doctorate in pharmacy at Rutgers School of Pharmacy in New Jersey.
Miss Tullos is a certified pharmacy technician.
The prospective groom is a 1994 graduate of Aptos High School in Aptos, Calif.
He received a Bachelor of Science in engineering management from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He received a maste’s in engineering management from the University of Missouri at Rolla and a master’s in industrial engineering from Arizona State University.
Maj. Rogers is a mathematics instructor at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
