Viola J. Sullivan

Viola J. Sullivan died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at Covenant Health and Rehab of Vicksburg. She was 88.
Mrs. Sullivan was a lifelong resident of the Eagle Lake Community. She attended Eagle Lake Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday school class. She retired from Westinghouse after having worked there for 25 years as an assembly line worker.
Mrs. Sullivan leaves behind many dear friends, including her travel companions, Myrtis Ford and Mildred Sullivan, her church family, the Eagle Lake community and the Vicksburg Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.O. “Doc” Sullivan; her parents, Molly Bell Ray and James Grover Ray; and a brother, Chester C. Ray.
She is survived by two sons, James Wiley Sullivan and wife Alisa of Madison and Randell Sullivan and wife Nan of Batesville; a daughter, Nancy E. Hale and husband Sonny of Redwood; six grandchildren, Belinda Watkins and husband Craig, Randy Hale and wife Christine, Aubree Caves and husband Macon, Scott Sullivan, Jake Sullivan and Richard Cockrell and wife Leah Ann; and nine great-grandchildren, Austin Watkins, Blake Watkins, Madison Watkins, Tyler Hale, Huntington Hale, Raemassey Hale, Addie Hale, Chase Caves, and Abigail Caves.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Glenwood Chapel with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be noon until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be Randy Hale, Craig Watkins, Scott Sullivan, Jake Sullivan, Richard Cockrell and Macon Caves.
Honorary pallbearers will be Althea Dykes, Glenn Dykes, Dinna Simmons, Jimmy Perritt, Billy Henley, Linda and Charles Watson and members of Friendship Sunday school class.
