Lizzie Shears Miller died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was 50.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Shears and Henry Shears Jr.; three brothers, Joe L. Shears, Alonzo Shears and Leroy Shears; and one sister, Nellie Stamps.

Survivors include three daughters, Sonya Miller, Lonnie Miller and Felicia Miller, all of Vicksburg; four sons, Leonard Miller, Calvin Miller and Charles Foster Jr., all of Vicksburg, and Arthur Miller of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Archie Tripp and Rose Hutton, both of Jackson, and Bertha Wages of Washington, D.C.; six brothers, Luster Shears and Eugene Shears, both of Vicksburg, and Major Shears, Mack Shears, James Shears and Willie Shears, all of Utica; grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including Charles Foster Sr.

Westhaven Funeral Home of Utica has charge of arrangements.
