HOW THEY DID

A look at how college football players with ties to the Vicksburg area did in games played over the weekend:

• Southern Illinois running back Larry Warner (Warren Central) carried the ball 13 times for 45 yards and one touchdown in a 27-24 win Saturday over No. 5 Northern Iowa. Warner also caught three passes for 24 yards, returned the opening kickoff 97 yards for a score, and returned two punts for 47 yards to finish with 213 all-purpose yards.

• Millsaps linebacker Marcus Stokes (Vicksburg High) assisted on two tackles in a 49-2 rout of Rhodes College. Defensive back Marcus Harris (VHS) had one assist and one fumble recovery.

• Mississippi State wide receiver Delmon Robinson (VHS) caught one pass for 18 yards in a 34-24 loss at No. 5 LSU.

• Delta State linebacker Jesse Pedyfoot (WC) had one assist, and cornerback Garret Williams (South Delta) had one pass breakup in a 35-17 win over Ouachita Baptist.
