Tennessee man jailed as fugitive|CRIME

A Tennessee man arrested Tuesday in a parking lot on Mississippi 3 was being held in the Warren County Jail this morning for authorities from his home state.

Travis D. Lewis, 388 McCowat St., Jackson, Tenn., was held on a warrant as a fugitive.

Initial charges against him were not known.

Horn Lake man faces additional charge here

A Horn Lake man already in the Warren County Jail on six counts of false pretense was charged Tuesday morning with an additional crime.

Danny Box, 32, 7095 Tulane Road, Apt. 703, was being held on a $10,000 bond.

The new charge is for possession of a stolen firearm, said Vicksburg police Sgt. Sandra Williams.

Construction materials, air conditioner hot

Three thefts were reported to Vicksburg police Tuesday.

• A window air conditioner was reported missing at 9:35 a.m. from Madison Glen apartments, 1950 Hope St., said Sgt. Sandra Williams.

• Ten 2-by-4 boards were reported stolen at 7:01 p.m. Tuesday from a vacant home in the 600 block of Rawlston Street.

• Rebar valued at $1,000, bookshelves valued at $400 and antique train cart cards valued at $500 were reported missing at 9:34 a.m. Tuesday from the 100 block of Kings Crossing.

Five found guilty

Five convictions of driving under the influence were reported in Vicksburg and Warren County during the week that ended Tuesday:

In Vicksburg Municipal Court:

• Percy Anton Seaberry, 27, 822 Whites St., Cleveland, was convicted of DUI first offense and charged $676.

• Dexter Thompson, 37, 816 Meadow St., was convicted of DUI first offense and charged $681.

• Daniel Flowers, 31, 115 Villanova Drive, was convicted of DUI first offense and charged $706.

• James Russell Lantrip, 29, address unknown, was convicted of DUI second offense and charged $961.

In Warren County Justice Court:

• Ramesh Choudhry, age unavailable, 2616 U.S. 80 West, Jackson, was convicted of DUI first offense and charged $661.50.
