Oscar Eugene Blackledge died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at the Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 65.

Born in Greenville, Mr. Blackledge had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 20 years. He was the son of the late James Henry Blackledge and Effie Cummings Blackledge. He was self-employed and a member of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother.

He is survived by three sons, David Blackledge, Terrell Blackledge and Edward Blackledge; two daughters, Patty Simmons and Cynthia Restivo; and a brother, Henry Blackledge.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.
