Butler to marry Williams

The engagement of Malisa Dena Butler to Julius Williams, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 3 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008, at King Solomon Baptist Church. A private reception will follow.

Miss Butler is the daughter of Donell Wince and Alma Butler of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Gladys Butler, the late Elmer Ferguson and Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Wince, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. Williams is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Williams of Crystal Springs. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Eulis Williams of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is an honor graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council.

She received a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Habitat for Humanity, Student Association and Campus Activities Board.

Miss Butler is a production planner at Cooper Lighting.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Crystal Springs High School, where he played varsity football.

He received a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Jackson State University.

Mr. Williams is a teacher and coach at Vicksburg Junior High School.
