TALLULAH, La. — Funeral services for Mrs. Billie M. Byram, age 86, of Tallulah, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, with the Rev. John W. Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.
Mrs. Byram died Tuesday night, Oct. 7, in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. She was born in Ida, La., and had lived in Tallulah most of her life. She was a salesperson and bookkeeper. She was a member of First Baptist Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Murphy; her mother, Tressie Martin Murphy; her brother, Thomas Murphy; her sister, Mary Murphy; her husband, Gaines Ragan Byram; her daughter, Jerry Byram Caraway; and her granddaughter, Julie Allison Caraway.
She is survived by her son, John Ragan Byram and his wife, Carole; her brother, Norman Murphy and his wife Ellen; her sister, Pat Windham and her husband, Bill; grandchildren, Charles Byram, Kevin Byram, Scott Caraway and Sean Milner; great-grandchildren, Skylar Byram, Sydney Byram, Rebecca Milner, Matthew Milner; nieces, nephews, and caregiver Wanda Saldana.
Pallbearers will be Charles Byram, Kevin Byram, Scott Caraway, Sean Milner, Bill Windham and Todd Windham.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Earl Martin, Reagan Nosser and Dr. L.P. Neumann.
