TUCSON, Ariz. — Private First Class James Aaron Selby, 19, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away unexpectedly while serving his country at Fort Hood, Texas, on July 25, 2008.
He is survived by his mother, Dora Laree Hansen; his much beloved brother, Joseph Earl Selby; and sister, Abigail Lilly LeMar, also of Tucson, in addition to his two sisters, Megan and Katelynne Hansen, and brother, Zachery Hansen of Peking, Ill.
Our most beloved Jimmy was taking leave in early August and coming home to visit his mother and brother was looking forward to meeting his new baby sister Abigail. He came home to them just a little earlier than planned but now he’ll be with his family always and never have to leave again. It was an honor to have James for a son, brother and grandson. He will never leave our hearts. I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Fields officiating.
