Barry and Reneé McGuffee of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Rae, to Walter Lindsey Miller of Brandon. Mr. Miller is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Caldwell of Tallulah and Mr. and Mrs. Walter “Buster” Miller of Vicksburg.

Miss McGuffee is the granddaughter of Sidney and Hilda McGuffee and the late Ray and Adele Smith, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. Miller is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. Miller Sr., the late Theo Paxton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Field.

The bride-elect is a 2003 honor graduate of St. Aloysius High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader, served as Key Club president and was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and retreat team. She graduated cum laude from Delta State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau and on the president’s list.

Miss McGuffee is a registered nurse on the medical surgical floor at Central Mississippi Medical Center.

The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Warren Central High School. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing from Delta State University, where he was on the dean’s list.

Mr. Miller is employed in sales and marketing for Inn Serve Corp.

The wedding will be at 3 p.m. Jan. 10, 2009, at St. Paul Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
