The engagement of Amy Lauren Kittrell of Edwards to Brian Wesley Brown of Vicksburg is announced today. A spring 2009 wedding is planned in the Caribbean.

Miss Kittrell is the daughter of William Howard Kittrell Jr. of Florence and Brenda Nelson of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Howard Kittrell of Edwards and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Sumrall of Vicksburg.

Mr. Brown is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wesley Brown of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of William E. Houston and the late Lillie Mae Houston of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Warren Central High School.

Miss Kittrell is a legal assistant for the U.S. Department of Justice.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Vicksburg High School, where he was a member of the Key Club, National Honor Society and varsity soccer team.

He received a bachelor’s degree in general business administration with a minor in economics.

Mr. Brown is a paralegal for Forman, Perry, Watkins, Krutz & Tardy PLLC.
