Weapons, power tools and a generator valued at more than $6,000 were among the items reported stolen at 3:58 p.m. Thursday from a home in the 12700 block of Oak Ridge Road.

Weapons reported stolen were a Remington semiautomatic .270 caliber rifle with scope and camouflage sling; a Remington bolt-action .270 caliber rifle with scope and black sling; a Remington 12-gauge semiautomatic shotgun with rib barrel; a Mossberg pump-action 12-gauge shotgun; two New England Firearms single-shot rifles; a Larcen semiautomatic .380-caliber pistol; a Marlin semiautomatic .22-caliber rifle with golden antler scope; and one hunting bow valued at $600. The guns collectively were valued at $3,200.

In addition, an Acer laptop computer valued at $800 was reported stolen, along with a Stihl FS80 weed trimmer valued at $400, a Stihl Farmboss chain saw valued at $250 and a Powermate 5500KS generator valued at $800.

Warren County Jail records department this morning indicated a report was filed during the weekend.

Pedestrian reports $700 taken, injury

A Vicksburg man said he was robbed of about $700 early Saturday morning in the 1300 block of Washington Street, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said this morning.

The man notified police at 2:25 a.m., saying he had been approached by two men in their early 20s who demanded money. When he refused, they attacked him, stole the money and fled north on foot, Stewart said. The man received minor injuries in the attack.

Man caught in home during burglary

A Vicksburg man found in a house that was being burglarized remained in jail this morning after his arrest early Sunday.

Anthony Tuckenberry, 19, was arrested at the home, in the 1400 block of Wisteria Drive, about a block from his home, at 1205 Prospect St., said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.

He said the resident awakened to find Tuckenberry and two other men in the home attempting to steal paintball guns and a PlayStation 3 game.

The victim called 911 and was able to keep Tuckenberry there until police arrived, Stewart said. The two other intruders escaped on foot.

Tuckenberry was in Issaquena County Jail on $20,000 bond pending his initial hearing in Warren County Circuit Court today at noon.

City woman charged with felony shoplifting

A Vicksburg woman was arrested Sunday on felony charges of shoplifting, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said this morning.

Juanita Sims, 43, of 100 Kings Drive, was arrested at Wal-Mart SuperCenter, 2150 Iowa Blvd. Sims was being held without bail in Issaquena County Jail pending her initial hearing this morning at the Warren County Courthouse.

Shoplifting becomes a felony on the third charge.

Alabaman treated after 2-vehicle wreck

One driver was treated and released and the other was not injured in a two-vehicle wreck involving a motorcycle Friday afternoon.

Thomas Norton, 60, 3800 Knollwood Lane, Birmingham, was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson Road King motorcycle when it collided with a 1996 Chrysler LHS driven by Eva Ford, 77, 1311 Fayette St., Vicksburg, said Sgt. Jackie Johnson.

Norton was traveling west on Clay Street, and Ford was headed north on Monroe.

Norton was taken to River Region Medical Center, where he was treated and released, spokesman Allen Karel said.
