BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — Mrs. Bess Sanford Cresap, age 81, passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Methodist Hospital Germantown.

Mrs. Cresap was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edgar “Bill” Cresap Jr.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 3, 2008, at the Brownsville Funeral Home with Dr. Will Jones officiating. Burial followed at Trinity Cemetery.

Mrs. Cresap is survived by two sons, Charles Edgar “Eddy” Cresap III, Vicksburg, and Robert Sanford “Barty” Cresap, Cordova, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Michelle Townsend, Kimberly McCaffrey and Katherine Lynn Cresap; and one great-granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Townsend.
