Edna Christine Cade

PORT GIBSON — Edna Christine Cade died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at Claiborne County Nursing Home. She was 90.

Mrs. Cade was a native of Carpenter. She lived most of her life in Claiborne County. She taught in Port Gibson Head Start for 21 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Port Gibson United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Cade.

Survivors include her two sons, Robert Cade of Vicksburg and William E. Cade of Port Gibson; two step-daughters, Bobbie Ann Cahill of Beaufort, S.C. and Sandra Shelby of Salsbury, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. Martin Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jason Cade, Woodrow Cain Jr., Michael Cain, Nick Becker, Kevin Bordelon and Charlie Westmoreland,

Honorary pallbearers will be William “Bubba” Cade, Chris Grammer and Chris Whittington.
