Annie Lee Johnson Hayes died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 81.

She was a graduate of Magnolia High School and Henderson Business College in Memphis. She retired from the U.S. Railroad Retirement Board after 32 years and was employed with the Social Security Administration, both in Chicago. She was a member of Cool Spring M.B. Church.

Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Lee Hayes; her parents, Alonzo and Frances Johnson; and a brother, Leonard Johnson.

Survivors include one brother, Frank Johnson of Vicksburg; a sister, Willie Ethel Johnson of Vicksburg; nieces, Phyllis Owens and Gloria Miles; a great-niece, Tameria Thomas; nephews, Raynaldo Johnson, Eric Johnson, Reggie Johnson, Michael Todd, Alton Miles and Jamie Anderson; a sister-in-law, Alberie Johnson of Ocean Springs; a special cousin, Essie B. Hudson; and a host of other cousins and friends, including the Thomas, Johnson, Houston, Jones, Waters, Armstrong, Williams, Brown and Mayfield families.
