Ruth H. Dunlap

CHICAGO — Ruth H. Dunlap died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago. She was 81.
Mrs. Dunlap was a retired school teacher with the Vicksburg Warren School District. She was a member of Fountain Chapel Church of Fayette, the Retired Teachers Association and the American Legion Tyner Post No. 213 Ladies Auxiliary. She received a bachelor of science degree in economics and a master’s degree in history and economics, both from Alcorn State University.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hall and Rosie Nell Fountain; and three brothers, Percy Hall, Emanuel Hall and Rudolph Hall.
Survivors include a brother, Alvin Hall of Houston; a sister, Sarah Jackson of Chicago; and other relatives and friends, including Muriel Jackson, Diane Toran and Carmen Sallay, all of Chicago.
Services will be at noon Wednesday at Fountain Chapel A.M.E. Church in Fayette with Dr. Charles K. Chiplin officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation at Williams Funeral Service will be today from noon until 6 p.m. with the family present at 5 p.m.
