KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Willie Charles “W.C.” Beamon died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, in Kansas City, Kan. He was 70.

Mr. Beamon was born in Vicksburg, the son of George and Martha Beamon.

After working in Vicksburg for several years, he moved to Kansas City in 1967. At the time of his death, he was an usher at Pleasant Green Church in Kansas City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; a sister, Hallie Beamon; and two brothers, George Beamon Jr. and William Beamon.

Survivors in Kansas City include two sisters, Mary Merola and Martha Murphy, and in Vicksburg, three brothers, Walter Beamon, James Beamon and Allen Beamon, and three sisters, Ora Anderson Harris, Josie Beamon Foster and Georgia Mae Beamon, Additional survivors are members of the Franklin and Tolliver families.

Services and burial were planned for 11 a.m. Thursday in Kansas City.
