John Leslie “Les” Newton and Jennifer Robertson were married Sept. 6, 2008, on the beach in Destin, Fla.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Fred McCain and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Robertson.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Newton.

The bride was given in marriage by her son, Nikolas Coon of Vicksburg.

Maid of honor was Taylor Rae Pace, daughter of the bride, of Vicksburg. Bridesmaids were Deanna Johnson and Amy Belk, both of Vicksburg; Randi Langston of Sumrall; and Brooke Newton Hood of Brandon.

Flower girls were Lili Kistler and Lexi Kistler, both of Vicksburg.

The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were David Smith of Vicksburg and Robert Newton, Craig Newton and Ryan Hood, all of Brandon.

Ring bearer was Jackson Hood of Brandon.

A reception followed at the Holiday Inn of Destin.

The couple will make their home in Vicksburg.

The bride attended Warren Central High School and received a nursing degree from Louisiana Technical College. The groom attended Warren Central High School and the University of Mississippi.
