Tracy Shannon gets a driving lesson Wednesday from John Morson of Sheffield Carriage Company LLC along Washington Street. The horse, a Haflinger named Roany, also is practicing his street manners in preparation for carriage rides in Canton during the holiday season. Carriage rides in Vicksburg are planned for January and February, according to carriage company owner Sally McDaniel.
