All 2,000 customers in the Fisher Ferry Water District have been asked to boil water they intend to drink to remove any bacterial contaminants.

The order was issued due to a broken water main, which has since been repaired, said a Fisher Ferry spokesman.

The state requires the advisory remain in place until samples are tested, a process that normally takes three days.
