Two armed robbers hit Bovina Grocery

Two men, one carrying a handgun, robbed the Bovina Grocery just after 4 this morning and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
The two men ran off on foot toward Interstate 20, just yards from the Tiffentown Road grocery and gas station.
No injuries were reported.
Sheriff Martin Pace said the man holding the gun forced the clerk to empty two cash registers while the second man stood at the door. It was not known if any customers were in the store.
Woman says three men sexually assaulted her
A woman reported that she was sexually assaulted by three men just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3600 block of Washington Street, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said this morning.
The victim said she was walking to her car when she was hit on the head and then assaulted in her car by the men. The woman then drove to the BP gas station on Indiana Avenue and called police. The woman gave police descriptions of two of the men.
She was taken to River Region Medical Center where she was treated and released.
Three face drug charges after undercover probe
An undercover investigation into drug activity in the 1500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard resulted in arrests of three Vicksburg men Friday, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said today.
Randy Morrison, 28, 1501 Martin Luther King Blvd., and Alton Burden, 38, 1635 Crawford St., were arrested at Morrison’s residence at 2:51 a.m.
Wade Carter, 19, 1135 Standard Hill Road, was arrested at 2:20 p.m. at. Jefferson and Farmer streets.
Morrison faces two counts of selling cocaine, and was being held on $20,000 bond.
Burden has been charged with one count selling of cocaine. His bond was set at $15,000.
Carter faces one charge of sale of cocaine, and is being held without bond because he is under indictment for armed robbery, Stewart said.
All three men were in Issaquena County Jail this morning.
Vicksburg man arrested in October burglary
A Vicksburg man was arrested Friday and charged with the Oct. 23 residential burglary in the 2200 block of Drummond Street, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
Roderick Williams, 18, 1418 Martin Luther King Blvd., was taken into custody at 3505 Pemberton Square Blvd. His bond was set at $7,500 pending his initial hearing this morning, Stewart said.
Vehicle and jewelry reported missing in city
Jewelry, cash and computers were reported stolen in several residential and auto burglaries over the weekend, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
A residence in the 2500 block of Togo Street was reported burglarized Friday at 11:03 a.m. Missing were a Toshiba laptop computer valued at $700, a microwave oven valued at $100 and jewelry with a combined value of $3,450, which included a 1-carat diamond ring, a gold wedding band and a gold and diamond wedding band.
A 1988 Ford Bronco was reported stolen Friday at 4:55 p.m. from a residence in the 1300 block of Wood Street. The vehicle is valued at $2,000.
A home in the 2200 block of Pearl Street was reported ransacked Friday at 6 p.m. It was not known if anything was stolen.
A 2005 Volvo semi-truck in the 4700 block of U.S. 61 South was reported burglarized Friday at 7:34 p.m. Stolen was $300 and a Midland CB radio valued at $400.
Computers, jewelry, guns missing in county burglaries
Computers, jewelry and guns were among the items reported stolen by Warren County records this morning.
A burglary in the 200 block of High Hill Drive was reported Friday at 10:01 p.m. Stolen were a Dell laptop computer valued at $800, a Kodak digital camera valued at $200, a Sony flat-screen TV valued at $700 and a class ring and birthstone earrings valued at $500.
A residence in the 50 block of Lakeside Drive was reported burglarized at 3:46 p.m. Friday. Stolen were an air compressor valued at $100, a Rigid staple gun valued at $90 and an air hose valued at $90.
A burglary in the 3700 block of Fisher Ferry Road was reported Saturday at 5:56 p.m. Stolen were a Charter Arms .44 handgun valued at $400, a High Standard Centennial Deluxe .22 handgun valued at $300, a Dell laptop computer valued at $2,000, a University of Southern Mississippi class ring valued at $500, four bottles of whiskey valued at $100 and about $100 in quarters.
Motorcycle driver injured in wreck on Tiffentown
A Vicksburg man was injured Sunday evening after losing control of his motorcycle on Tiffentown Road.
William Wallace, 47, 2501 Culkin Road, was admitted to River Region Medical Center. He was in fair condition this morning.
Sheriff Martin Pace said Wallace was driving a 2008 Harley-Davidson.
Blaze damages home on Cain Ridge Road
A fire at 224 Cain Ridge Road late Saturday night damaged an attic.
No injuries were reported.
The blaze, reported at about 11:30 p.m., was believed to have been caused by a faulty fan motor and was contained to the attic, a city fire department spokesman said this morning.
