John Byrne stands in front of his house at 806 Hickory St. Thursday night as the lights play in time with Christmas music broadcast over 103.5 FM radio. Byrne has 15,000 lights on and around the house in Oak Park and has built his own circuit boards to program the lights. Byrne plans to play the lights on weeknights from 5:30 to 8:30 and weekends from 5:30 to 9:30 and welcomes passers-by.
