Services for Robert Curtis Jr. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive M.B. Church with the Rev. Leon Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Service.

Mr. Curtis died Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at Richardson Medical Center in Rayville, La. He was 62.

Mr. Curtis was an Army retiree, a former security guard for the Vicksburg Warren School District and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Curtis Sr. and Emma Reed Curtis; a daughter, Talina Curtis; and a sister, Jean Curtis Cooper.

Survivors include Marlina Curtis of Gastonia, N.C.; a daughter, Arlene Curtis of Gastonia; two brothers, Eddie Curtis and Charles Curtis, both of Vicksburg; four sisters, Emma Wade Forest of Pinoe, Calif., Rosa Curtis of Vicksburg, Connie Bingham of District Heights, Md., and Margarite Farrell of Springdale, Md.; and other relatives and friends, including Ester Franklin of Vicksburg.
