Two people already out on bond for possession of precursors for manufacturing methamphetamine were arrested Thursday — along with two others — and charged with cooking the deadly drug, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Linda Cole, 44, and William D. Smith, 45, were arrested at the home they share at 100 Chance Lane at 9:45 a.m.

Also arrested at the scene were Heather Smith, 38, 2419 Drummond St., and Richard G. Daumer, 30, 114 Bering St.

Cole, William Smith and Daumer were charged with possession of precursor chemicals and manufacturing crystal meth.

Heather Smith was charged with possession of crystal meth, possession of precursor chemicals and manufacturing crystal meth.

Pace said materials used in the manufacture of crystal meth were found in and under the trailer.

William Smith and Heather Smith are not believed to be related, Pace said.

Initial court hearings were to be today.

“Because they were already out on bond, it’s possible that Cole and William Smith may be held without bond,” Pace said.

On Nov. 10, Cole and William Smith were arrested by sheriff’s deputies working with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics at the same Chance Lane mobile home and charged with possessing precursor chemicals.

They were released on $10,000 bond each.

Two days after William Smith was arrested, his daughter, Amanda Smith, 26, also of 100 Chance Lane, was arrested by Vicksburg police and charged with shoplifting items that Sgt. Sandra Williams said could be used in the manufacture of crystal meth. She was charged with felony shoplifting, Williams said.

Chance Lane is off Poole Road, where in September, “a methamphetamine cooking gone bad” sent three men to a Georgia burn hospital after a meth lab exploded, Pace said.

Separately, a woman was arrested at another Poole Road home in October and charged with possession of precursors and meth.

The highly explosive drug also was found at homes on Cherry Street and in Redwood during the fall, resulting in four arrests. Then, two weeks ago, on Dec. 9,  two more people were charged with crystal meth manufacturing after they and a mobile lab were found at the Holiday Inn Express on East Clay Street.
