DETROIT — Services for Isiah Davis will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Church in Bovina with Pastor Tyrone Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Detroit Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Clinton.

Mr. Davis died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, in Detroit. He was 89.

Mr. Davis was a former resident of Bovina. He was a retired auto worker from Ford Motor Co., a member of the El Bethel Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Rosie Davis; a brother, Howard Davis; a sister, Pearlie Davis; and a son, Robert Straughter.

Survivors include his daughter, Shelia Hines of Detroit; a sister, Mary Bolls of Vicksburg; and numerous other relatives, including Eliza Straughter.
