Search on for bank robbery suspect

Police and canine units were searching the woods off South Frontage Road Thursday afternoon for a bank robbery suspect.
The man was described as white, in his early 30s, 5-foot-5 inches to 5-foot 7 inches tall and 160 to 180 pounds, with short dirty-blond hair, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart. He was wearing a tan jacket and baseball cap and blue jeans, and was armed with a handgun. The man left the BancorpSouth at Indiana Avenue and South Frontage Road on foot.
Police responded to the alarm at 12:13 p.m. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. No one was injured, Stewart said.
