Services for Violet Bolden will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mount Carmel M.B. Church with the Rev. Franklin Lassiter officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 6 p.m. Saturday at Williams Funeral Service.

Mrs. Bolden died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at her home. She was 91.

Mrs. Bolden was a domestic worker and a homemaker. She was a member and mother at Mount Carmel M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Bolden Sr.; her parents, George and Violet Williams Taylor; two brothers, Willie Taylor and George Taylor Jr.; five sisters, Corine Taylor, Susie Hunter, Alberta Catron, Elizabeth Hopkins and Rosie Henderson.

She is survived by two daughters, Dan Ethel Edwards and Carolyn Parson, both of Vicksburg; three sons, Larry Bolden, the Rev. Daniel Bolden Jr. and the Rev. Melvin Bolden, all of Vicksburg; a brother, John Taylor of Chicago; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
