BOLTON — McClinty “BoPete” Nichols died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at his home. He was 70.
Mr. Nichols was a native of the Brownsville Community near Bolton. He was a brick mason and construction worker. He was a member of Brownsville M.B. Church in Bolton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Henry Nichols Sr. and BeArleatha Homles-Nichols; two sons, Ralph Nichols and Lanell Nichols; two sisters, Ruth Gaddis and Lucille Heard; and a brother, Clyde Nichols Jr.
Survivors include his daughters, Tennia Ross of Utica and Zenthia Webster of Clinton; a brother, Roy Nichols Sr.; a sister, Agnes Murray of Edwards; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brownsville M.B. Church with the Rev. Stanley Garner officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 7 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.
