BENTONIA — Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Burton died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Yazoo City. She was 58.

Ms. Burton was born in Yazoo County to Martha Seawright and Lamar Burton. She was a homemaker and a member of Bentonia Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Marcie Burton of Bentonia; one brother, David Burton of Vicksburg; and three sisters, Cindy Burton and Ginger Beasley, both of Brandon, and Carol Green of Flora.

Services will be at 2 today at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City. Burial will follow at Dover Cemetery in Yazoo County.

Pallbearers will be Chris Hammack, Jeff Burton, Bryan Burton, Frank Burton, Jimmy Hammack, Tab Burton and Nathan Burton.
