Henry Chocolate Sr. died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 79.

Mr. Chocolate was a member of Mount Moriah M.B. Church in Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Rosie Griffin Chocolate; three brothers, William Chocolate Sr., George Chocolate Sr. and James Chocolate; three sisters, Nancy Chocolate, Regina Caldwell and Rosie Barnum; and two sons, Henry Chocolate Jr. and Jimmy Chocolate.

Survivors include three sons, Willie Chocolate and Danny Black, both of Vicksburg, and Leroy Chocolate of Chicago; four daughters, Gloria Broome, Carrie Pierce, Geraldine Henderson and Lorraine Black, all of Vicksburg; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including Patricia Chocolate, Carrie Chocolate, Annie Turner and members of the Morgan family.

Private services will be held under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home.
