Debra Ross Taccarino died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 53.

A homemaker, Mrs. Taccarino was a lifelong Vicksburg resident. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was active in Alcoholics Anonymous of Vicksburg. She would have celebrated 21 years of sobriety this coming Wednesday. She was a loving mother and best friend to her husband and sons.

She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Taccarino of Vicksburg; two sons, Chris Ross and William Ross, both of Vicksburg; her mother, Laura Simms Allen of Vicksburg; one sister, Sheila Mauldin-Brown of Utica; and her grandchildren, Ashtin Ross, William Ross, Julianna Ross, Dalton Ross and Kalee Ross.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Friday until the hour of the service.
