* Danielle LaShondra Williams received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Mississippi College during December commencement exercises. She is the daughter of Carolyn Jones Jefferson and James Daniel and the granddaughter of Carrie Jones and the late James Jones of Vicksburg. She has two children, Dedric and James.

* Debra Kent of Vicksburg has received a Master of Science degree in management from Belhaven College. She is a laboratory coordinator and chemistry section supervisor at River Region Medical Center.

* Lana Freeman of Vicksburg is a candidate for a Master of Education degree from the University of Mississippi.

Honor rolls  

* Emily Henry and Lindsey Williams, both of Vicksburg, were named to the fall semester dean’s list at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala.

* Joshua Lawrence Dixon of Vicksburg was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Mars Hill College in Chattanooga, Tenn.

* Dillard Robinson III of Vicksburg has been named to the honors list for the first semester at Hinds Community College in Raymond. A 2008 graduate of Vicksburg High School, he is the son of Martha Robinson and Dillard Robinson Jr. He is the grandson of Marie Pierce of Vicksburg and Marie Robinson of Utica.

* Steven Worley of Vicksburg has been named to the chancellor’s honor roll at the University of Mississippi with a 4.0 grade-point average. He has completed his first semester as a civil engineering major.

* Area students named to the president’s list for the fall semester at the University of Southern Mississippi were Jade L. Young of Edwards and Holly Marie Duke, Miles Aaron Dunbar, Mary Katherine Gwin, Stephanie Anne Gwin, Miranda Sara-Anderson Hunt, Kelly Patricia McGrath, Shannon R. Honor societies

* Russell W. Chisolm of Vicksburg has been initiated into Phi Kappa Phi honor society at Mississippi State University. He is majoring in microbiology.

* Colin Bruce Reid of Vicksburg is among fall initiates into Phi Kappa Phi academic honor society at the University of Mississippi. A junior international studies and Spanish major, he is the son of Bruce and Lisa Reid.

In attendance

• Wynne Campbell and Tiffany Miller, both of Vicksburg, served as pages for the Mississippi Senate under the sponsorship of Sen. Briggs Hopson. Their responsibilities included running errands for officials and Senate staff. Wynne, the daughter of Glen and Virginia Campbell, attends St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. Tiffany, the daughter of Jerry and Debbie Miller, attends Warren Central High School.

* National Association of Junior Auxiliaries Inc. is accepting applications for its Graduate Scholarship Program. Applicants must be pursuing graduate-level studies for one year in fields that address special needs of children — counseling, psychology, mental development, special education, speech pathology, exceptional skills, remedial development, hearing impaired and gifted and talented.
