TALLULAH — Nancy Lee Pettigrove Wood died early Thursday morning, Jan. 22, 2009. She died peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by family. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Durell Wood; and her father, John Robert Pettigrove.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Donald Durell Wood; her children, Donnie, Sara, Bill and Kathryn; grandchildren, Jonathan, Mary, Sam and April Williams, Caleb and Tobias Pike, Ella Wood, Kenyon, Dillon and Thaddeus Taylor-Wood; her mother, Betty Lou Horne Pettigrove; and her siblings, John Pettigrove and Mary Hull.

Services were to be held at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Tallulah today, Jan. 23, 2009, with visitation at 9:30 a.m. to be followed by Mass at 11. Burial will follow at the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah.
