Wooten, 12, and Hunter Johnson, 16, were among local competitors who hit the practice field this week. Elizabeth, the daughter of Bill and Mary Jane Wooten, will take part in the cutting, reining, Western pleasure, English pleasure, horsemanship, showmanship and English equitation competitions. Hunter, the son of Bud and Valeria Johnson, will compete in the horsemanship, trail horse and showmanship categories.
